You currently drive 25 miles round-trip to the office every day (5 days a week) in a car that gets 25 MPG. You're negotiating a new hybrid schedule where you only come in 3 days a week (working 2 days remote). How much money and time will this change save you in a year?

Just do this:

1️⃣ Enter 25 for "Daily Commute Distance" and 5 for "Days in Office".

2️⃣ Set "Vehicle MPG" to 25 and "Gas Price" to your local average (e.g., $3.50).

3️⃣ Select "Hybrid - 2 days remote" from the WFH Scenario dropdown.

4️⃣ Look at the bottom green box: It will show you your Annual Savings (likely over $500 in gas and maintenance alone!).

5️⃣ Notice the "time freed up" result—you'll likely gain about 6 full work days of your life back just by not sitting in traffic 2 days a week.

Pro tip: Most people underestimate "Maintenance Cost." This tool includes a standard 12¢ per mile for tires, oil, and wear-and-tear. Even if you don't feel the cost at the pump, your car's future repairs will thank you for the remote days!
